UH Email Broadcast Service

Recently, an issue was discovered using UH Broadcast with long URLs.

If you embed long URLs in your UH Broadcast links such as a link to a Google Doc, e.g.:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16a0JCc9O67C-JO4X5iad9UsOfmZwrXLAY6KLlICzA_4Bg/edit#gid=223242923

The link sometimes gets truncated when clicked on by the user resulting in a broken link and a Page Not Found or similar error.

If you have long URLs, please use the UH URL Shortening service at https://go.hawaii.edu to generate a short URL and embed that into your UH Broadcast instead of the original long URL.
